The Role

We're looking for a Founding Platform Engineer to help us build the core infrastructure that powers Viduli's next-generation cloud platform. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a platform that will serve thousands of developers worldwide.

What You'll Build

You'll be instrumental in developing and expanding Viduli's managed services platform:

• Ignite Application Service: Build and scale our application deployment platform for custom applications
• Orbit Database Service: Develop and expand our managed database solutions with robust, scalable infrastructure
• Flash Cache Service: Architect high-performance caching services to accelerate applications
• Global Service Mesh: Design and implement our mTLS-secured service-to-service communication layer with comprehensive observability
• Container Orchestration: Scale our Kubernetes-based platform to handle thousands of concurrent deployments
• Sidecar Architecture: Implement Envoy proxy patterns for zero-downtime deployments and advanced traffic management

Technical Stack

• Platform Core: Go for performance and reliability
• Orchestration: Kubernetes, Envoy, cloud-native infrastructure
• Backend: Python/Django for application services
• Frontend: Next.js/React with TypeScript
• Infrastructure: Multi-region, high-availability, fault-tolerant systems

What We're Looking For

Technical Requirements

• Experience building and scaling distributed systems
• Deep expertise in container orchestration. Kubernetes is a must.
• Service mesh experience (Istio, Linkerd, or similar)
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Go proficiency (optionally, Python)
• DevOps/SRE background with production system experience

Compensation Structure

Important: This role starts as equity-only for the first 3 months, transitioning to competitive salary + equity after that period.

• Months 1-3: Equity-only compensation
• Month 4+: Market-rate salary + meaningful equity
• Equity details: 4-year vesting
