The Role
We're looking for a Sales Engineer - Outbound who can talk shop with CTOs and ship code on the same day. This isn't traditional sales—it's about building relationships with engineering leaders, deeply understanding their infrastructure pain points, and showing how Viduli solves real problems.
What You'll Do
You'll build our outbound sales motion from the ground up:
- Cold outreach that works: Research prospects, craft personalized messages, and book meetings with engineering leaders at target companies
- Technical discovery: Conduct deep-dive calls to understand architecture, pain points, and requirements
- Custom demos: Build proof-of-concepts and tailored demos that showcase Viduli solving their specific challenges
- Navigate technical sales: Work with DevOps, platform, and engineering teams to drive adoption and close deals
- Build sales playbooks: Document what works, create repeatable processes, and establish our outbound motion
- Product feedback loop: Channel customer insights back to the product team to shape our roadmap
- Support & success: Guide early customers through migration, deployment, and achieving success with Viduli
Technical Stack
- Product: Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD
- Tools: Linear for pipeline management, PostHog for product analytics
- Communication: Deep technical discussions with engineering teams
- Demos: Hands-on experience deploying real applications on Viduli
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements
- Technical credibility: Background in engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering—you can talk the talk because you've walked the walk
- Cold outreach experience: Proven track record of successful cold email/LinkedIn outreach and booking qualified meetings
- Sales intuition: Can identify signals of interest, qualify leads effectively, and move deals forward
- Infrastructure knowledge: Understanding of cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern deployment practices
- Communication skills: Can explain complex technical concepts clearly and adapt your pitch to different audiences

- Self-starter: You create your own processes, don't wait for direction, and figure things out independently
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Previous experience selling developer tools or infrastructure products
- Technical certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience in early-stage startup sales (preferably seed to Series A)
- Prior DevOps or platform engineering role
- Familiarity with sales tools (CRMs, outreach platforms, sales engagement tools)

Compensation Structure
Important: This role starts as equity-only for the first 3 months, transitioning to competitive salary + commission + equity after that period.
- Months 1-3: Equity-only compensation
- Month 4+: Base salary + performance commission + meaningful equity
- Equity details: 4-year vesting
- Commission: Uncapped, tied to closed deals and annual contract value
